Phishing is a cyber crime that a person trying to steal personal information on a computer. By phishing the thief can take user name, password, and credit card details. In results, the thief can take money from you. Phishing is usually found in online commerce web sites. Also it is found in spam-mails, unknown messages, and pop-ups.
To avoid phishing you must becareful in using internet. Think about the commercals in a website. Is it safe? Is it truthworthy? Think before clicking anything on a onlinesite. Also becareful to open anything in your e-mail box. If it is file that is unknown there are quite lot of percentage that can be a virus.

Trojan Horse is a software that is useful to the computer but later the software changes and destroys the file creating serious damage. You can obtain Trojan horse by email, usually released by an email attachment. If opened, it will collect your hard drive information for any personal. It will collect your social security, account, and PIN numbers. Once it has collected your info, it is sent to a thief’s database.
To stop and to be safe from Trojan horse you can install anti-virus software.Once you earned Trojan horse the worst thing you can do is reformatting hard drive. Deleting every files even window and creating situation that virus can not live. If you don’t want to do this you have to not activate unknown files. You have to be careful in opening and activating systems.

Computer viruses are small piece of software.It is usually attached in unknown messages or downloads. You may have seen a message with “YOU ARE THE 9999th CUSTOMER! COME AND GET YOUR PRIZE!” like this viruses can be with funny images, greeting cards, or audio and video files.
To stop the viruses there are several steps. First if u accidentally earn virus first you have to disconnect every internet you have. Than start the computer as safe mode than remove the important files to CD or floppy disk.Third thing you want to do is install an anti- virus software if you don’t have one. Finally, scan you computer and delete the files that has virus.
Preventing from earning viruses are pretty easy. You may want to have anti-virus software on you computer. By this you can delete the viruses when you just got it. Also get into habit of going in safe sites and scan CD or removable drive before you open it.

Through out the activity , NETS, I have learned that there are more useful ways to search. Before I have only searched with normal engine not using advanced search. Elimitnating the words that is not needed  helped to find faster. Now I know how to search more effectly next time if have chanced to do homework with this engine I would like to try them out later.

REFLECTIONS-

Before we started using the advanced search, we tried the search “atlantis” on normal search, it gave a huge amounts of unrelated websites, but with the help of the advanced search, we shrinked the number of websites, or hits, down to a really positive number, which we can search and find what we need faster.

From periodic table of element I will talk about Sodium. The word is came from English word soda. Sodium is the 4th common element in the world. Sodium is soft silvery white alkali metal that reacts violently with water. It’s atomic # is 11 and atomic mass is 22 amu. Sodium is found by Sir Humphery Davy in 1807. Used in medicine, agriculture and photography. Liquid sodium is sometimes used to cool nuclear reactors. Also used in street lights, batteries, and glass. Moreover Sodium is easily found in salt and food you eat!
